For clients staying in Papagayo, Hdermosa beach, El Coco, Riu Palace and Ocotal, we have the Lani catamaran as an option for private sailing charters. It is a very spacious 70 feet catamaran. Its 28 feet width provides plenty of space, a safe, comfortable and efficient ride. There is plenty of room on board to relax and enjoy the panoramic views as the catamaran sails through the calm waters of Guanacaste. The catamaran also has radar, GPS, and autopilot to ensure safety on every trip.


On board the catamaran there are 2 bathrooms and four double bedrooms, in case of an eventual multi-day tour. The boat also has a spacious saloon/sitting area below deck.
Inside the salon, there is a TV/VCR, DVD, as well as a music system with CD player.

All tours include an abundant variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as fresh and healthy food items, for a pleasurable trip that combines exploration of the unspoiled coastline as well as services and amenities for those who want to relax and enjoy first class service.


The tour offers a variety of soft drinks, beer, wine, water and our favorite rum punch, made on the spot by our staff on board. The items we serve as meals include a variety of dishes made with local, fresh and quality ingredients.

Our tour will take you to rocky reefs, small white sand beaches surrounded by rocky pinnacles and reefs with a good visibility and therefore, full of tropical marine wildlife, including coral fish, eels, rays and even sharks.

The Seahorse Snorkeling Boat

The boat is called the Seahorse, and it is a large and modern snorkeling boat. The inflatable boat comes with a large shaded area, comfortable seating, specific gear and equipment for snorkeling and diving.

The boat, although an inflatable boat, comes with a hard bottom, which enhances the experience.

It also comes with the best equipment for security and safety and powerful engines will make the trip o the snorkeling site much shorter.

The experience

Our snorkeling will provide you with a fun ocean experience, during which you will visit the best available snorkeling sites along the coast, including places like Playa Amor, Playa Plata, Dantita and several other beaches.

Our staff will always look for the very best snorkeling site, with the largest amount of fish and sea creatures and also the best visibility.

The tour also includes a refreshment stop with water and some fruit. The gear is also included, from all sizes fins, masks and snorkels. All the gear is modern, clean and very well kept, thereby ensuing the best experience possible.

Species you might encounter during the tour include: Angel fish, Puffer FISH, moray eels, rays, colorful surgeon, lip fish , butterfly fish, perhaps even sea turtles and nurse and white tip reef sharks.

The bottom along the Pacific of Costa Rica is mainly made from rocky pinnacles and lots of rocky reefs with some caverns and also occasional corals.

The boat

The experience

Our trip departs from Flamingo and will head north, normally to a beautiful secluded beach with abundant rocky reefs which are the best places for snorkeling.

The guide and crew will search for the best visibility, but some of the beaches we visit include Playa Amor, Guacamayita, Dantita or similar beaches. They are chosen accordingly ( Vidsibility is the priority )

Once at the site, you will get ready for the underwater experience, during which you might very well encounter large schools of colorful coral fish ( Angels, Surgeons, Puffers, Lip fish, Diamond Fish ), as well as moray eels, rays, perhaps nurse sharks and white tip reef sharks.

The trip includes water and some fruit, which is served during the optional paus while snorkeling in the area.

Snorkeling in Costa Rica and in Guanacaste is quite intense, since there are options of watching larger animals than in other places on earth. What we do:

We offer three basic private charters, which can be booked with a catamaran , a classic sailboat and also yachts.

Half day tour in the morning

This private tour departs at 8 and will be back by 12. It includes open bar, snorkeling, paddle boarding ( in most cases ) as well as food items and open bar. You get to spend time near a secluded beach.

Private half day tour in the afternoon

The private sunset sailing charter includes open bar, foot items, snorkeling, paddle boarding and visiting a remoter secluded beach. You get to see the sunset from onboard the boat.

Private full day tour

The full day t5our is for those interested in a full day ocean experience, during which you visit a remote secluded beach, enjoy snorkeling around a rocky pinnacle or reef, visit a remote natural unspoiled beach and enjoy the onboard services, which include open bar, light food menu and cocktails. You also get to enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch.
