Snorkeling in Guanacaste in general is quite awesome. We call the full day sailing tour the all in one ocean adventure, since our clients really enjoy not just sailing along the coast or under the blue skies, but the adventure also includes all the other iconic activities Guanacaste is famous for. Besides, for those who are comfortable at the hotels and resorts but rather wish to leave the hustle for a while it is the perfect getaway. Contrary to what it looks like, Guanacaste does still have endless distances of rugged and raw natural coastline with empty and remote natural beaches.
After snorkeling we will head to a secluded and undeveloped beach outside the commercial area, where you will have the chance to enjoy the beach, the sand, the warm tropical water, ( stand up paddling and ocean kayaking also included depending on the boat ).This is where you will also enjoy the delicious BBQ lunch right on the beach.
All tours are customized, so in case you contact us in advance, let us know what your main interest is and we will design the tour accordingly.
After hours on the beach, or some more sailing and snorkeling, you will be heading back to the hotel, while watching the amazing colors of the sunset. The estimated arrival time at the hotel is 6 PM.

Fast Boat “LL”
Named after a
modus vivendi, LL, with two 150 HP Yamaha engines, is a boat adapted for the
practice of diving, sport fishing, snorkeling, surfing and other activities to
suit the client within the Gulf of Papagayo.
The Catalinas Islands are a group of volcanic islands located approximately 40 minutes from Playas del Coco, where marine life abounds thanks to its coral reef and rocky.
These islands are known locally and internationally for the spectacular migrations of Golden Stripes and the constant presence of Móbulas, Oceanic Blanket, Whip Stripes and other marine animals like turtles, clown shrimp, whitetip sharks, moray eels.
After leaving Playas del Coco at 07:30 am, we
will visit the main dive points of the area: La Pared, La Viuda, Sombrero and
Aquarium, conducted by our experienced Dive Master. Points to visit vary
depending on wind and current conditions.
After the first dive, you will enjoy a healthy snack of fresh fruits and non-alcoholic drinks. In the second dive visit another point inside the area to complete the underwater experience and return to Playas del Coco.
Between the second and third immersion you will enjoy a cold beachfront lunch consisting of a fresh bread sandwich with roasted chicken, avocado, tomato and fresh cheese.

The 4-hour private Sunset Sailing tour departs at 2 PM and returns around 6 PM. During this exciting tour, we will explore the coast of Guanacaste, which is known for its beaches, the many rock formations (pinnacles, islets and islands) as well as the wild and dramatic landscape that includes steep forested mountains that reach the sea.
During the Sunset tour, you will enjoy sailing under
the beautiful blue sky, snorkeling around some lost islet or rocky pinnacle,
where colorful coral fish abound, you can stand up paddle (depends on the boat)
or sea kayak (depends on boat) at a virgin beach where we usually also make a
strategic stop.
At the end of the tour, the landscape and nature
normally reward all participants with the incredible colors of the sunsets, an
impressive and unforgettable view.
Wildlife species we might see during the tour include
dolphins, sea turtles, flying fish, or even a breaching whale, normally
humpback whales during the seasons although other whale season are also

The sunset tour last for 4 hours, and it incldues the same activities and highlights as the morning tour. The main difference between the morningt tour and the private sunset sail is the fact that you will see the sunset from aboard the sailboat catamaran. Snorkeling, stand up paddling, kayaking ( inquire ) as well as sailing and exploring secluded beaches is part of the tour.
During the rainy seasons, you might want to inquire in advance wether you should book the sunset or the morning trip, since chances of rainfall are higher during the afternoon trip.

Our suggested tour departure time is 1:30, with a later afternoon return around 6:00.
The tour includes very good food and drinks onboard, including beer, sodas, water, fruits and juicy, Rum, Vodka, Whiskey and cocktails and snacks, normally dips and chips, but also might be Burritos. Lunch can also be included with an extra charge.
The tour includes snorkeling while anchoring at a secret beach and reef spot, away from the crowds.

The full day sailing tour departs early in the morning.
Sailing away from the coast at around 8AM, we will first head out to open ocean, while silently sailing along the coast near and around rocky islets, reefs and rocky pinnacles to a secluded beach,
After anchoring, people can enjoy endless snorkeling in these pristine waters, sea kayaking around the coast, or go for some occasional fishing.
Meanwhile, for those staying onboard, comfort is there… spacious seating areas, large salon and table, spacious deck for sunbathing or sightseeing.
Enjoy delicious snacks and food, fresh fruit, drinks, cocktails, a cold beer, bottled water or sodas.
A delicious lunch is also included. Choose from many destinations to visit, from Murcielago Islands, to exotic and untouched beaches.

Secrets Papagayo is conveniently located inside Bahia Culebra, Gulf of Papagayo, where the water is calm and the coast is protected from waves and storms.
The morning half day sailing charter will pick you up early in the morning, normally at 8 am.
After leaving the Gulf of Papagayo, hopefully at full speed with powerful winds, we will head to a rocky island or secret islet where we will jump into the water and discover the secrets of the marine wildlife ( colorful fish and marine creatures await ).
The second part of the tour is spending time on a secluded beach, normally we have a selection of several ones.
On the beach, you will have time to enjoy snorkeling, swimming, relaxing, playing on the beach or do stand-up paddling and ocean kayaking ( included in case of some of the boats )

Full Day Sunset Sailing
If you really wish to go away for the day, and leave the commercial Guanacaste coastline behind, the full day adventure is the best tour for people that wish to really have a view of what the original Guanacaste province coastline offers.
The tour departs at 10 AM, and the crew and boat will pick you up at 10 AM right in front of the hotel. After sailing off into the deep blue ocean, the service will begin to pamper you.
Limitless drinks, fruit, fresh fruit juice, snacks and beers are included. Snorkeling is included also.
The crew will help you jump into the water, where a wonderful world of tropical coral fish awaits.
Other wildlife species you might encounter include turtles, humpback whales, fish, dolphins and birds are quite common.
