The Deposit or Finders Fee is nonrefundable. However, in case of need or desire for cancelation on behalf of the client and/or because of Will Of God ( climate, something beyond our control ) we can move the tour to another date. In case that is not possible, we will honor a CREDIT NOTE for the amount up to 2 years.
The balance is paid in CASH. In case you cannot or do not want to make the payment in CASH, you can pay the balance via PAYPAL with a 7 % atop ( Amount taken away in Costa Rica with every transaction ) or in some cases via CREDIT CARD ( Plus a 13 % )
Weather Cancellations The safety of our guests and crew is first and foremost. While we don’t cancel when it rains, if we determine that the weather will prohibit a safe tour, the trip will be cancelled, your tour will be refunded in full and we will reschedule.
Remember the DOWNPYMENT FEE serves as a finders fee, but the company you pay the balance to is the actually boat company you will hire for your trip, normally independent boat owners with a good service and quality.
For cancelations made with less than 48 hours prior to the tour, there is NO REFUND and the company has the right to request for a FULL PAYMENT of the balance in case we consider that the client is not convinced of going on the tour, regardless of the downpayment made.

More disclaimers and security and safety advice

Sailing Guanacaste is an intermediary tourism agency that connects the client with the direct operator and boat owners.
We only work with boat providers that we consider offer the best boats, crews, tour scripts, staff and service onboard.
The application of liability insurance is the responsibility of the boat owner and sailing Guanacaste is not responsible for incidents that may occur during the tour. We encourage our clients to verify again, once on board, that all proper safety measures are being taken into consideration including safety boats, life vests and other details
We always encourage clients to communicate to the captain and crew about food allergies, any medical condition or any additional concern the clients might have.
Please feel free to ask the captain of the boat about liability insurance in case of accidents or mishaps that may occur during the tour. Sailing Guanacaste is not responsible for accidents, mishaps or injuries that happen on board.
Our job is to find the best catamaran for you, and our deposit fee is a professional service fee to obtain the reservation of your chosen boat. We have the largest inventory of contacts in Costa Rica.
We urge you to check with the captain of the catamaran about the insurances they carry, including liability insurance as well as tour operator insurance. The first one, covers any misfortune that happens on the catamaran only, while the second one, covers also other elements of the service.
In case of any injury, it is highly recommended that you report the incident immediately to the captain, so he can use the insurance for incidents that happen onboard. If the client does not report the incident, the insurance cannot aply by law.

Excellent Sailing charter. From the beginning of approaching the company, the service was outstanding. We went through several options of sailboats and catamarans in order to find the perfect boat for our group, and the advice received was great. The tour was equally outstanding. The service from Luis was amazing, dedicated all the way. We also received some delicious menu items, beyond what was actually offered. Thanks for showing us the real Guanacaste.

The best advice and the selection of boats is very profesional. I loved the fact that the company runs 4 catamarans, al of them great. The charter was perfect. Great sailing crew, excellent onboard service, food and the drinks and service in general fantastic. The snorkeling gear is first quality. Very good and a statement to the service of this country. We even got to see a sea turtle. Tartuga Lora.

We booked the afternoon tour because we wanted to see the sunset. After 2 hours of sailing, BLAM, rain, not a heavy rain, but hey, you can't control the weather today. Even so, with everything and rain it was a very fun tour. And as planned, at the end of the tour, it stopped raining and we could see the wonderful colors of these incredible sunsets as we sailed towards the hotel.

Perfect wedding venue. Playa Huevos. Special thanks to Luis, Michael, Randy and Papiio for your charisma, charm, service and service, you guys were great. The local fishermen from El Coco, thank you for the fresh lobserts and traveling far to make our "werd dream " come true. Still laughing about that.... Great day trip, awesome food. The full day trip to Playa Guacascolito was just perfect. Food was superb, fresh fish. Loved the fact that it was really very secluded, we were not used to that but that was an experience beyond what we have ever had before. Just us, nature and service.

Great food, great staff, luxury and confort but still nature and beautiful lonely beaches as the main highlight. I loved this combination, confort and pampering service and ameniies with the feeling of adventure and expeditions. Superb Destinatio Unknown and Zafira and Puar Vida, best catamrans we have sailed with so far in Costa Rica.
