ElPlaya Tamarindo Catamaran

 Catamaran Sailing from Tamarindo

The El Play is a 38 footer catamaran, a Fountain Pajot, which serves Tamarindo Beach. It is among the few coats who actually sail from Tamarindo.

This beautiful Fountain Pajot is very well reviewed and perfect for clients interested in sailing from right on the beach in Playa Tamarindo.

The catamaran has 2 sails and 2 engines, as well as an interior saloon and two bathrooms for the use f our clients.

There is a trampolin, shaded deck area and abundant seating spots on deck.

Rates

We offer 3 private tour options ,in the morning from 8 am to 12 pm, sunset tours from 1 pm to 6 pm and all day tours from 10 am to 6 pm.

Private tour in the morning

Base price $1100 up to 8 passengers,

Each extra person will pay $70

All of our tours take place in and from Tamarindo. The private tour in the morning has 1 hour to stop at the beach where you can do water activities, you can go to the beach, we will also serve breakfast before returning.
The private tour in the afternoon will have 1 hour and 30 minutes to enjoy the beach, do water activities and have lunch. For these 2 options we visit playa huevo or playa conejo as decided by the captain, these are located in punta conejo cabo velas.

Tamarindo Catamaran
The all-day tour includes 2 stops at beaches such as Playa Conchal, Playa Conejo, Playa Huevo or Playa Bahía de los Piratas or if the client wishes, they can visit the Catalinas Islands for snorkeling and then visit a nearby beach.

Visits to the aforementioned beaches are subject to the decision of the captain in charge since the state of the weather, waves and wind must be taken into account.

The Full Day private sailing charter from Four Seasons Papagayo is a fantastic and fun 8 hour long private ocean experience.

We will pick you up on the beach at the Four Seasons right on the beach. Normally, the best beach for boarding is Playa Blanca or Playa Virador.

Full Day Siling Four Seasons Papagayo

Once on board and greeted by our captain and crew, well revied as the best sailing crew in Papagayo and Guanacaste, you will begin the real sailing experience towards the westernmost tip of the Peninsula.

Although our private charters are custom designed, meaning the clients choose their preferred activity, we have a suggested script which includes stopping for a snorkeling session, or using the paddle boards in the best place in the calm waters of the Papagayo Peninsula and the Gulf of Papagayo.

Our main goal is reaching a secluded beach, where we will anchor, and again, our clients will be able to jump in the water, snorkel, paddle board or simply rest on the beach.

Clients can also fish during the way, since we carry fishing rods at the end of the catamaran, ideal for trolling.

Whales and Dolphins

You might very well encounter dolphins and sea turtles during these 8 hours on the water, and from August to Octobre, you might also very well encounter whales, especially humpbacks, which are the most common ones in Costa Rica, although other species such as pilot whales, orcas and falsa orcas have also been seen.

BBQ lunch

The full day sailing also includes a delicious and fresh prepared bbq lunch, served normally on ther beach or on the catamaran, depending on the request.

Upon return, by 6 PM, you will enjoy the magical colors of the traditional Papagayo Peninsula and Guanacaste sunsets, a fantastic way to end the trip while enjoying a last cocktail.

The private tour departs from the beach at Four Seasons Papagayo aboard our sailing catamaran or luxury yacht.

We pick up guests directly on the beach, and there is no need to move to any pier or marina nearby.

Once on board, our crew will welcome you, and will be attentive throughout the charter. It is important to know that our crew has been evaluated as the most accommodating, attentive, knowledgeable crew in Papagayo and Guanacaste in general, which is very important.

During our private morning tour several activities are included, among them anchoring near a reef or beach for snorkeling, paddle boarding, fishing with the canoes that the catamarans carry and visiting a remote and beautiful beach, where you can go down and swim calmly in the sea.

During the whole tour on the catamaran, drinks are included, light meals of good quality and our clients can play the music they want.

While dolphins are seen all year round, during the months of August, September and October whales can also be seen, especially humpback whales, and since our tours are tailor-made, during those months a special focus can be made on trying to find them.

The Four Seasons Papagayo, on the beautiful Peninsula, is one of the most incredible hotels in Guanacaste.


It is located on a wooded peninsula, dramatic in topography, and has several beaches, including Playa Virador and Playa Blanca, which face opposite latitudes, but at the same time, are distanced by only a short distance of 160 meters.

The Papagayo Peninsula is one of the best places for sailing, as the waters are calm, and the geography and topography make for an abundance of small coves, islets and rocky reefs, which greatly enhances the sailing experience on a sailing catamaran.

Private tours from Four Seasons Papagayo

Our private tours offer the experience of being able to appreciate the most natural part of Guanacaste.

Our boats pick you up directly from the beach, either Playa Blanca or Virador, and once on board, you will sail along the coast, usually heading west towards the islands at the end of the peninsula.
Once there, you will visit a lovely pristine and undeveloped beach, where you can enjoy swimming in the sea, snorkeling or paddle boards.
During the tour, on the private tour, our crew will serve drinks as well as light meals. Of course our clients can listen to their own music on the Bloo tooth system on board.

Dolphin and whale watching

During some months of the year, it is also possible to observe humpback whales, as well as other species of cetaceans. This occurs especially between August and October, as well as during January and February.

Dolphins are more common throughout the year, as they are residents, at least some species, of the waters of the Gulf of Papagayo, located in the interior of the Peninsula.

The half day private tour can be booked either in the morning or in the afternoon.It consists of 4 hours of sailing and includes alcoholic beverages, light meals, as well as snorkeling and paddle boarding activities.

Full Day Tour

The full day tour, which runs from 10 am to 6 pm, includes 8 hours of sailing, as well as drinks, light meals, snorkeling, paddle boarding and a delicious barbecue lunch prepared fresh on the beach you visit.

The Pure Life is a very new, luxurious and modern 14 meter ( 45 footer ) and 9 meters in width sailboat catamaran.

The boat has a large indoor salon, 4 bedrooms, two restrooms and wide deck space.

Pure Life II also has an equipped kitchen, 3 safety boats, onboard music system, fire emergency equipment, 34 safety jackets, 2 emergency water pumps and a diving platform.

The catamaran tour with PV also includes two new paddle boards, snorkeling and fishing gear, all of which is free of charge and is included in each tour.

The trips can also include scuba diving ( if requested ) with an additional charge.
