If you are a lover of the ocean and nature, and want to get away from the noise and hustle and bustle of your hotel and the more touristy area of Guanacaste, our private morning half-day tour is perfect. The tour leaves at 8 AM and returns around 12 (4 hours) and will take you away from the civilization for a while. It is one of the most popular Guanacaste Sailing Tours we offer.

During this trip, with luck, several wildlife species can be observed while sailing along the coast of the province of Guanacaste.

Some of the most frequent species are dolphins, whales, seabirds, sea turtles, fish (the tour includes trolling fishing, so hopefully you can catch some mackerel, or maybe even a tuna).

After leaving the beach of your hotel (the tour includes pick-up and drop-off directly from the hotel beach) we will first navigate to a rocky pinnacle away from everything, where we will do a snorkeling session in search of the many species of tropical coral fish , famous for their incredible colors.

Later, you will visit a beautiful private and pristine beach, without human development, where you can rest in the sand, under a tree, swim in the sea, read a book, or you can enjoy more snorkeling or stand up paddling or ocean kayaking ( depends on the boat)

Morning 4 hour sailing tour

What is the main difference between the morning half day sailing tour and the afternoon sunset sailinog trip ? Basically the only difference is that during the sunset sailing tour you will watch the sunset from the catamaran, while as during the morning tour obviously not. Besides that, all the activitiees are the same. During the rainy season, you might want to book the morning tour since chances of rainfall are lower than during the sunset sail.

The tour includes: Drinks, Fruits, snacks, chips, snorkeling with a guide somewhere special, and stand up paddling and ocean kayaking (depends on the boat)

The morning tour departs at 8:30 a.m., when the day is just beginning, and the sea is calm, clear and the weather is cooler.

We pick up the clients directly on the beach, in front of Andaz, and head out to sea, actually sailing with the sails.

The amazing Gulf of Papagayo and Bahia Culebra Bay are two of the most spectacular natural geographic places in the province of Guanacaste. Our morning tour will take you sailing through this beautiful place. Sunset Tour

Get ready for a romantic trip onboard one of our beautiful and spacious sailboats or catamarans. Depart after lunch at 1:0 and head out to open ocean. Discover the beauty of colorful fish while snorkeling around rocky pinnacles and reefs. Learn paddle boarding or SUP, go for a sea kayaking trip, or swim, rest or sunbathe near an unspoiled beach. Later at around 5:00, the spectacle of the colorful sunset begins. The trip includes open bar, light foot items served onboard, snorkeling, fishing rods, paddle boards and a very pleasing and profesional crew.

Sunset private sailing

The 4 hour sunset charter is ideal for those who wish to see the colorful sunsets that happen in the area. 

We will pick you up on the beach in front of Planet Hollywood at 2 pm and you will return by 6 pm, just in time before dark but with the opportunity to enjoy the magical sunsets typical of the Papagayo Peninsula.

The full day private catamaran trip is right for you if you wish to share an entire day on the ocean with your friends, family or coworkers.

Leaving from the beach in front of the hotel at 10 am, it returns after the sunset, by 6 pm.

The full day sailing tour departs early in the morning.

Sailing away from the coast at around 8AM, we will first head out to open ocean, while silently sailing along the coast near and around rocky islets, reefs and rocky pinnacles to a secluded beach,

After anchoring, people can enjoy endless snorkeling in these pristine waters, sea kayaking around the coast, or go for some occasional fishing.

We have a list of boats available, from smaller catamarans to larger ones ( up to 90 passengers ) as well as sailboats.

We offer private tours only, including half days in the morning, half days in the afternoon to watch the sunsets as well as full day private 8 hour trips and even overnight charters.

If staying at Riu, we will pick you up right on the beach. Sample trips include snorkeling, SUP, kayaking, some fishing, great food, drinks and snorkeling.

Secrets Papagayo is conveniently located inside Bahia Culebra, Gulf of Papagayo, where the water is calm and the coast is protected from waves and storms.

The morning half day sailing charter will pick you up early in the morning, normally at 8 am.

After leaving the Gulf of Papagayo, hopefully at full speed with powerful winds, we will head to a rocky island or secret islet where we will jump into the water and discover the secrets of the marine wildlife ( colorful fish and marine creatures await ).

The second part of the tour is spending time on a secluded beach, normally we have a selection of several ones.

On the beach, you will have time to enjoy snorkeling, swimming, relaxing, playing on the beach or do stand-up paddling and ocean kayaking ( included in case of some of the boats )

The tour includes drinks, fruit, snacks, chips, snorkeling gear and water. Return to the beach is estimated at 12 .

Sunset Tour

The Afternoon-Evening Sunset Tour includes everything the morning tour includes. The main difference is the departure and return time.

The sunset sailing tour departs at 2 PM and returns by 6 PM.

The highlight of the tour is the fact that upon returning to the hotel at around 6 PM you will enjoy the amazing sunset from the ocean onboard the vessel while enjoying a delicious drink or cocktail.

The tour likewise includes snorkeling, spending time on a secluded beach somewhere, and in case of some of the boats ( stand up paddle boards and ocean kayaking ).

Full Day Sunset Sailing

If you really wish to go away for the day, and leave the commercial Guanacaste coastline behind, the full day adventure is the best tour for people that wish to really have a view of what the original Guanacaste province coastline offers.

The tour departs at 10 AM, and the crew and boat will pick you up at 10 AM right in front of the hotel. After sailing off into the deep blue ocean, the service will begin to pamper you.

Limitless drinks, fruit, fresh fruit juice, snacks and beers are included. Snorkeling is included also.

The crew will help you jump into the water, where a wonderful world of tropical coral fish awaits.

Other wildlife species you might encounter include turtles, humpback whales, fish, dolphins and birds are quite common.

Las Catalinas is a beachfront residential community located on Playa Dantas, a very nice beach in Central-North Guanacaste.

Like all the tours in this part of Guanacaste, it includes snorkeling, SUP boards, great food and drinks ( chips, dips, burritos, fresh fruit, juices, water, sodas and also endless alcoholic drinks and beers ( Not the imported ones ) Our trips focus on exploring the beauty of nature and secluded beaches and snorkeling sites.

Two hotels are currently also available at Las Catalinas, Casa Chameleon which is on the hilltop side, with fantastic ocean views, and Santarena, which is located on the beach.

One of the highlights in the area include Playa Huevos and Nacazcolito, two fantastic beaches located in the outside of the Papagayo Golf abnd Bahia Culebra.
